LifeStory Sunday School is all about starting children on a journey to become “students for life.”
Our traditional approach to teaching is fully Biblical, also fun and interactive, but not watered down. Even at young ages children have the need and the ability to Go Deeper, Discover, and Disciple.
At LifeStory Church we encourage parents to bring their young children with them into the worship service. We believe it is important for families to Worship the Lord together. Worshipping together helps to counter the current trend in our society of fragmenting our families. It is the Biblical role of parents to disciple their children in the faith (Deut. 6; Psalm 78; Eph. 6). What a benefit there is when children witness their mother or father singing with conviction, praying in reverence, listening intently to the sermon, or receiving communion in Joy. We provide a nursery to assist those with babies, but we encourage parents to bring their children into the service at as early an age as possible.
>> BEFORE church begins, Parents sign their children in at the Check-In table, and both parent and child receive matching security stickers. Children ages 5 and under will go directly to the Nursery/Preschool Class. Children ages 6 and older will stay with their parents in the sanctuary during worship time at the beginning of service.
>> AFTER worship the children (ages 6 through 12) are released and escorted by their teacher to Sunday School class. Parents that miss the sign in before church begins must go with their child to class and sign them in when they are released after worship. At the end of service parents are to pick up children from their classrooms and present the security label to the teacher.
We meet for Worship on Sundays at 10:30am at the Rutledge West event venue.
